Research Interests

My research focuses on authentic learning and teaching practices that support children’s literacy and math development. I currently study metacognitive development in early childhood. While at Pitt, I am working on a project that aims to promote Latino preschoolers’ literacy skills using an intelligent app and integrating dialogic reading and elaborative reminiscing techniques.
