Reading Processes

In the area of Reading Processes, researchers investigate the developmental processes underlying reading abilities, and language, literacy, and writing development. Specific areas of study include the lexical quality hypothesis (see Perfetti), the neural basis of language processes (see Fiez and Tokowicz), the interplay between language and long-term learning (see Fraundorf and Warren), and how familial practices influence children's reading development (see Leyva).
