Mindfulness, Learning, and Transfer
In this work we are interested in how training in mindfulness relates to metacognitive skills, emotion regulation, learning, and transfer. Questions asked in this work include: Do brief mindfulness inductions have benefits for emotion regulation, learning, and transfer? What are the effects of long-term mindfulness training on metacognition and emotion regulation skills? Under what conditions can mindfulness be beneficial for learning? If there are benefits to learning what are the underlying cognitive, metacognitive, and emotional processes involved and how are they interrelated?
