Writing with feedback is critical for students to improve in writing, but it is so labor intensive that writing assignments are rarely assigned. SWoRD provides a tool to meet this critical need.

Building a Research Base

Writing research struggles for a strong empirical base because collecting and analyzing systematic writing data is quite difficult. We use SWoRD as a research collaboratory on the topics of effective writing assigments, optimal feedback on writing, and the power of peer feedback.
