For undergraduates interested in participating in research experiences
For
current research
areas, visit my main webpage:
- Check
out those research areas, and see which general project is most interesting
to you. Send me an email (schunn@pitt.edu),
and we'll work on the specific details of a project together.
Requirements for participation:
- Willingness and capacity to committ 10hrs/week for at least one semester.
I try to provide research experiences that go through a full cycle in one
semester, but that doesn't work if you don't put in enough time.
- Ability to complete work on time without someone yelling at you. Research
requires self-motivation.
- No prior coursework required.
Fine print:
- Students who are eligible for the Federal Work Study program (if you
don't know, you probably aren't), there are always opportunities to be
paid as a workstudy for your work in the lab.
- Psychology Majors
who have taken Research Methods can participate for course credit under
Psychology 1905.
- Most students participate just for the experience initially, and then
later for course credit or even a senior thesis project.
