Walter Schneider
Bio: Walter Schneider, Ph.D., is a Professor of Psychology, Senior Scientist at the Learning Research and Development Center (LRDC), University of Pittsburgh, Professor of Neurosurgery, University of Pittsburgh Medical Center, and part of the Executive Committee at Center for Neural Basis of Cognition (CNBC). Dr. Schneider has over 30 years of experience in research in attention, learning, and cognitive neuroscience. He has authored over 100 papers and his work is widely cited (over 10,000 citations) in psychology, training, and cognitive neuroscience literature. He has made substantial computational methodological innovations that include providing the dominant software system for human computerized behavioral work (E-Prime http://www.pstnet.com/products/E-Prime/default.htm) used by 10,000 researchers and the first commercial fMRI brain imaging system (IFIS) used in 150 imaging centers.
