Intergroup Relations in Schools
Summary
Although our society is increasingly diverse, residential segregation often means that children have their first contact with those from other racial or ethnic groups in school. This project’s main goal is to increase our understanding of the consequences of the social composition of schools and classrooms for students’ academic and social outcomes. A second important goal of the project is to translate scholarly research on these topics into forms that are maximally useful to educators and policy makers.
