Full-time Exempt staff may find the following spreadsheet helpful in keeping track of yearly vacation and sick time accruals.

Please note, this spreadsheet is not an official record or a substitution for your Official Staff Time Record. It is only provided to assist you in keeping track of your vacation and sick time.

Vacation and Sick Time Accrual spreadsheet

Instructions:

  1. Save the spreadsheet to your computer.
  2. Enter the date you started working full time for the University next to the start date (cell 3B). The number of years you have worked at Pitt will automatically be calculated as will your monthly accruals.
  3. Then, enter the amount of sick days (cell 7B) and vacation days (cell 21B) you had accrued from the previous fiscal year. This information is listed on your official Staff Time Record that was recently sent to you per the new policy described above.
  4. Enter the vacation, sick, and personal days you use monthly.
