Director's Graduate Fellowship

Applications are invited for the LRDC Director's Graduate Fellowship. The Fellowship is designed to encourage a student to explore new and innovative research directions under the mentorship of an LRDC Research or Senior Scientist. The fellowship provides one year of stipend, tuition, and a modest budget for research supplies. It is expected that the Fellow will work with an LRDC faculty member on a project that represents a new direction in his or her research. The research should begin with the start of an academic term, however, the exact start date is flexible.

Eligibility: Students in good standing in a University of Pittsburgh PhD program.

Criteria for Selection: The fellowships are competitive, with the expectation of one award per year. Criteria for selection are based on the overall merit of the application as reflected in the quality of the research plan, evidence of the student's excellence in research, the student's career goals, the extent to which the fellowship research plan will enhance the students' research capabilities, and the fit of the research plan with the LRDC mission of advancing learning and educational sciences.
