Erik Benau was raised in Philadelphia, PA. This unfortunately makes him an Eagles fan. He graduated from Hampshire College in Amherst, MA with a concentration in Cognitive Neuroscience and Education Psychology. His thesis examined working memory's role in N400 amplitude in children and adults. As well, it examined a "gradient of cloze probability."
